GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Metropolitan district's authorities have released an enforcement report covering operations in the Basistha Circle area, which includes Jayanagar, Pilingkata, Beltola, Basistha Chariali, Beharbari, Hatigaon, and more.
The authorities recovered and seized a significant amount of contraband.
- Notably, approximately 115 kilograms of firewood (F/W) were confiscated.
- Additionally, 30 liters (approximately) of illegal liquor (ID liquor) were seized during the operation.
The enforcement team identified and initiated action on two cases under Section 61B.
A total of ₹7,500 in fine was collected as part of the operation.
However, there were no arrests made under Section 53(1)(a) of the Assam Excise Act 2018 during the operation.
