GUWAHATI: A fire broke out late last night, on February 20, in Islampur Punjabi Colony, near Nehru Stadium, Guwahati.

The blaze reportedly erupted in a plastic storage godown made of tin roofing sheets, measuring approximately 60 by 30 feet.
The fire department arrived at the scene on time and managed to douse the flames.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from Panbazar Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES) said, "A total of 6 vans were required to douse the fire.The situation was in control by around 1:55 AM."
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and investigations are underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident.
