GUWAHATI: A tragic incident took place in the Tetelia area of Guwahati on February 23, around 9 PM, resulting in the death of a young individual and severe injuries to another. The event unfolded when a speeding dumper truck collided with a scooter carrying the duo as they were heading towards Jalukbari.

While speaking to GPlus, a traffic official from Jalukbari Outpost confirmed that the collision transpired as the dumper truck attempted a U-turn, leading to the fatal outcome.
The deceased has been identified as Himangshu Kashyap Borah, hailing from Digboi, Tinsukia. The accident occurred near the junction opposite Radisson Blu Hotel.

Following the accident, the body of the deceased was transported to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for a post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, the injured pillion rider was taken to the hospital to receive medical treatment for their grievous injuries.
