GUWAHATI: Guwahati Police recovered ₹2,35,310/- on Tuesday, December 10, and credited it back to the account of a victim from Satgaon, Assam.

According to reports, the victim had earlier lost ₹15 lakh in a fake online investment scam.
Interested by the allure of high returns, the individual had fallen prey to the fraudulent scheme at an earlier date. Acting swiftly, the cyber police managed to trace and retrieve a portion of the funds.
Efforts are still being made to recover the rest of the amount, while authorities have urged citizens to exercise caution while engaging in online financial transactions.
This latest incident is one of many, with financial scams plaguing Assam’s residents throughout the year.
