GUWAHATI: A sub-inspector at Guwahati's Chandmari police station was taken into custody on suspicion of harassing a young girl who had come to lodge a complaint on October 25.

When a young girl went to the Chandmari police station to file a formal complaint, APRO SI Abdul Hussain was accused of inappropriately touching her, leading to his detention on Friday.
Speaking to GPlus, a Chandmari Police Station official verified that he is the subject of a case filed against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) statute.
