GUWAHATI: City Buses in Guwahati must compulsorily disburse bus tickets through E-ticketing machines as notified by Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Board of Kamrup (Metro). District Transport Officer (DTO) and Secretary, Regional Transport Authority (RTA), Kamrup Metro has approved the order.
The machines must disburse E tickets to all passengers travelling via bus. It is mandatory for the owner of the city buses to acquire the E-Ticketing machines. Further, a notification issued on October 14, 2022 stated that board has also approved the fare enhancement of city buses on September 5, 2022
The notification further states that post November 1, 2022 no city bus will be allowed to ply on road without E-Ticketing machines for issuing E-tickets to collect fares from travelling passengers.
