GUWAHATI: Guwahati based dance crew Unity One Crew India have been selected to represent India at the prestigious World Hip Hop Dance Championship 2024, which will be held in August in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.

Unity One Crew won the India Hip Hop Dance Championship 2023 in Mumbai and also represented India previously in the Hip Hop International 2023 Championship in Arizona,Phoenix, USA, in July 2023 which was an online edition. Earlier, the team won a gold medal in the India Hip Hop Dance Championship in 2018 and a silver medal in 2021.
The crew comprises of 7 members lead by Abhishek Mahatu of which 3 namely Abhishek Mahatu (Lead / Choreographer), Chandan Nath, and Bhabajit Medhi will be taking part in the World Hip Hop Dance Championship 2024 in USA from August 3 to August 10.
Talking to GPlus, Abhishek Mahatu said, “Participating in this championship is a dream come true for us, and it provides an excellent opportunity to showcase our talent & culture on an international stage. It has been a dream for us since the last 9 years and we are going to live it to the fullest.”
