GUWAHATI: In a significant development, a Bangladeshi national by the name of Quasim Ahmed has been apprehended at the Kamakhya Railway Junction in Guwahati on Tuesday.
Working in collaboration, the Guwahati Railway Police Force and the Railway Protection Force successfully carried out the detainment of Quasim Ahmed.
He was found to be travelling aboard the Brahmaputra Mail Express at the time of his arrest. According to an official statement from the Guwahati Railway Police, Quasim Ahmed was taken into custody for travelling without valid documents.
Talking to G Plus the Inspector of Railway Police Force (RPF) Vikram Singh stated, "Currently he is in the custody of the GRP, and he is being interrogated."
