GUWAHATI: The Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden, Guwahati has remained closed even after plans of re-opening were initiated on December 1. The Assam State Zoo has remained closed amid the intentions for a staggered re-opening.
"We had plans to re-open but due to COVID-19 reoccurrence, we have kept it closed," said Divisional Forest Officer, Tejas Mariswamy.
As per the official, the Zoo is set to open after the peak season in January. However, the exact dates have not been revealed.
