Guwahati all set for ODI match between India and West Indies

GUWAHATI: In midst of the festive season, Guwahati is all set for the ODI match to be held on 21st of October 2018. In the hustle and bustle of a busy city life, Guwahatians have witnessed decoration of the city for the upcoming event. 

Road dividers have been repainted and the streets have been repaired. Proper lighting arrangements have been made in and around Barsapara Stadium, the venue of the match.

The West Indies Team arrived in Guwahati on Monday. They will start their practice sessions in Barsapara before they finally play on 21st October. Team India, lead by Captain Virat Kohli will reach Guwahati by Wednesday.

The Secretary of ACA Pradip Buragohain informed the media, “As per the schedule, both the teams should reach by 17th of October.” He also added that as the teams will arrive during a busy Durga Puja, the ACA has made all the necessary arrangements so that the teams don’t face any problems.

As Guwahatians are all set to welcome the players and are expecting a wonderful match, the prices of match tickets have touched the sky.

The minimum price of a student ticket is Rs. 500, and the tickets for the general public starts from Rs. 1250. Even though BookMyShow is authorized to sell the tickets for the match, the lower range tickets are not available in the platform.

Only the VIP tickets of Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000 are available online. There are very good chances of demand for tickets going much higher as the match day approaches.
