Sandeep Jain, a local business owner, shared visuals with GPlus, highlighting the dire situation near Gate No. 8. "This has been a recurring issue," Jain said. "During peak hours, we struggle with long queues daily. The e-rickshaws add to the chaos as they flout traffic rules and clutter the area. Sadly, even traffic officials are rarely present to enforce order."
According to Jain, the ongoing construction work near Gate No. 9 has further increased the problem, increasing the rush towards the other railway gates.
However, traffic officials have cited the frequent operation of railway gates as the primary reason behind the congestion. "The congestion is usually due to the railway gates," said an official from the Bharalumukh Traffic Police. "Trains pass through that area more than five times a day. The public should understand this. We do deploy officials to keep a check, but the situation remains challenging."
Despite the repeated assurances from the authorities, residents continue to struggle with the growing traffic woes. With no immediate solutions and an apparent lack of coordination between various stakeholders, the area’s daily commuters are left struggling to navigate the obstacle course created by gridlocked roads and poor traffic management.
The blame game between officials and the public has only deepened frustration among residents, leaving many questioning whether meaningful action will ever be taken to alleviate the problem.
