GUWAHATI: GPlus was awarded the Runners-Up trophy it won in football in the recently concluded Topcem-ASJA Inter-media Sports Festival 2024 organised by the Assam Sports Journalists Association (ASJA) at a brief ceremony in Guwahati, on March 27.

GPlus had lost to ASJA in the final.

GPlus’s team comprised of Roushan Baruah, Armanur Rahman, Devraj Mahanta, Mahesh Sewa, Nabajit Sarania, Arka Das Roy, and Anusikh Goswami in the one-day seven-a-side tournament.
The first match was played between ASJA and Gauhati Press Club (GPC) which the former won 1-0.
In the second match GPlus got the better of Prag News 3-1. The scorers for GPlus were Mahesh Sewa, Anusikh Goswami, and Devraj Mahanta.
GPlus eventually lost to ASJA 0-2 to become the runners-up.
Besides football, the festival covered competitions in badminton, chess, cricket, and table tennis from March 3 to March 27, culminating in the presentation ceremony.
