GUWAHATI: GPlus had on July 3 published a photo essay on unhygienic conditions in the Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH).
It showed areas of GMCH littered with used medical gloves, water bottles and other plastic wastes.
The images and report showed that both people and the hospital staff dumped used gloves and other equipment from the window creating an unhygienic
environment.

To make matters worse, water leaking out of the septic tanks and spit stains added to the unsanitary conditions of the area which could potentially brew potential illnesses.
GPlus carried the report across its platforms.
The impact of this photo report was immediate as the authorities concerned took notice and within five days the area was cleaned up, properly disposing of the waste and garbage in the particular section of GMCH.
