GUWAHATI: A train accident occurred near Lumding in Assam's Hojai district on Saturday night, where a goods train derailed approximately 500 meters from the Lumding junction. Two wagons of the train went off the tracks in the incident.

Officials from the Northeast Frontier Railway, along with local authorities, later arrived at the scene to evaluate the situation and initiate necessary measures. The derailed coaches were then reinstated and the lines were cleared.
