GUWAHATI: Even as flood continues to create havoc across the state of Assam, a recurring tragedy that renders thousands homeless every year, many organisations and individuals have proven that “humanity is still alive”.
Amidst the pandemic and economic crisis, citizens from across the state have been working selflessly to provide relief to the ones devastated by the flood.

Amongst them are a few organisations that have provided relief packages to the victims.
On 4th August, the Upahaar NGO in collaboration with Niraj Bora from Cotton University successfully completed a Flood Relief Drive in Satrapara village, Nahira.
Similarly, As01 Bikerz, a team of bikers from Guwahati distributed food items for the flood-affected people of Morigaon District.
While 120 families were benefitted in Guwahati by the former, the biker group distributed packages to 150 families.
Another organisation, NMO Assam in collaboration with Seva Bharati Purbanchal, set up two flood relief camps at Morigoan and Nagaon districts on 9th August.

Apart from providing food, sanitary napkins, masks, sanitizers, phenyl, etc, victims were provided with a medical check-up at these camps.
250 patients at Morigaon and 209 patients at Nalbari availed these facilities.
