GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has imposed a penalty of ₹1,00,000 on a Subham sweets and confectionery establishment located on SC Road, Ward No. 15, for several violations on Monday, December 30.

The violations included unhygienic manufacturing practices, roadside dumping, drain blockage, and failure to maintain a standard selling counter.
In light of this, the GMC has urged all commercial establishments to comply with hygiene.
