GUWAHATI: A young woman was found dead in her residence at Lokhra, Guwahati on Tuesday, February 19.

The individual has been identified as Anisha Chetry who allegedly died of suicide. Anisha, a resident of Biswanath Chariali, was a postgraduate student at a private university in Guwahati and had been living with her sister.
Her body was found in the late hours of Tuesday.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from Basistha police station said, “We suspect she had been under mental stress for quite some time, which led to her taking this extreme step. Evidence and everything points to this being a suicide. But, we are investigating it nevertheless.”
The body has been sent for post-mortem. Further details are awaited.
