GUWAHATI: Guwahati’s Bhangagarh Police have arrested a woman accused of multiple mobile phone thefts across the area.

The accused, identified as Alisha Begum, was apprehended on Wednesday, February 19, following an extended period of reported thefts.
During the operation, police recovered four stolen mobile phones from her possession. According to reports, Begum was involved in exchanging stolen devices for drugs with local peddlers.
A Bhangagarh Police official confirmed to GPlus that the accused has been remanded to judicial custody.
Further investigations are underway to uncover possible links to a larger network of mobile theft and drug trade in the city.
