GUWAHATI: A team from Basistha Police Station raided a flat at Lalmati Comfort Apartment, Jagaran Path, in Guwahati, and uncovered an illegal betting and gambling operation, on February 19.

During the raid, the police arrested five individuals identified as Jakir Khan (27), Amin Rezaul Korim (23), Saiful Islam (25), Mizanur Rahman (24), and Rafizul Rahaman (24). The accused were allegedly operating a sophisticated online betting network.
Authorities also seized 14 ATM cards from different banks, 10 high-end mobile phones linked to betting applications, two vehicles, along with ICICI Bank cheque-books and other incriminating materials.
The arrested individuals are being interrogated as further investigations continue.
