GUWAHATI: A minor girl died after she reportedly fell from the staircase of a hostel in the wee hours of Wednesday, June 22, at Ahom Gaon in the Lokhra area of Guwahati.
The girl, around 17-years-old, fell from the hostel staircase that was adjacent to the toilet at around 4.30 AM.
The incident occurred in the hostel of Sai Vikash Vidya Niketan Training Centre in Ahom Gaon.
She was declared dead at around 3.45 PM on Wednesday after surviving for 11 hours at the Ayursundra Super Speciality Hospital.
According to reports, it had been just four days of her admission for class 11 at the Sai Vikash Training Centre.
The doctor who was treating the girl told the media that she was brought to the hospital with several bone injuries and her head, stomach and heart were damaged.
