GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court of 26th February asked the Commissioner of Transport to submit an affidavit regarding the city buses.
Questioning the disorderly traffic system of Guwahati, the Court raised questions as to why the traffic laws have not been implemented until now and have not taken any step to manage the traffic even though there is law and order on the same.
Questions were also raised on whether the rules and regulations are being followed by the ASTC buses.
The Regional Transport Authority has been asked to give details regarding the same on the next hearing.
Further, the court has also asked for permanent allotments of street vendors and also asked to maintain discipline in the parkings of retail markets.
