GUWAHATI: Panacea-the Village is hosting a two-day extravaganza, Digaru Food and Music Festival on 23rd and 24th of November, 2019.
This multifaceted festival will highlight a fusion of traditional and contemporary activities to enthrall everyone over the weekend.
Talking to G Plus, Owner of Panacea Ashok Saikia stated that “the festival has been organised to promote eco tourism and it aims to highlight the work of local artisians. Our idea behind the event is to connect with the local artists and showcase their work in a larger platform.”
The event is divided into two halves with games, product stalls, buffet lunch/dinner and adventure sports. It is to be mentioned that, Panacea is the only eco resort in Guwahati which provides adventure activities like Zip-lines, Sling Walk, Burma Bridge, Archery, etc.
Moreoverm the Guwahati-Panacea Cyclothon taking place during the day and they will also be hosting performances by renowned artists like Deepak Sharma, Lou Majaw and Dr. Dope.
Panacea is the best alternative for the people who prefer to spend some peaceful time far from the monotony of city life. It is offbeat, serene surrounded by Hills and Forests. The resort is also dedicated towards sustainability. Since October 02, the use of Single use plastic is banned in the resort.
“Through this festival we would like to prove a point that it is possible to host an event in a large scale without hampering mother nature”, said Gogoi.
Classical artists like Preeti Kashyap, Lipika Choudhury, Akashdeep Gayan and Mitali Deka Phukan will also be performing live at this event.
The biggest attraction of this event is undoubtedly the food that will be served at the stalls in the morning. The variety of meats cooked in their traditional manner is sure to draw in all the foodies of Guwahati who like to enlighten their taste buds.
Tickets will be available at selected outlets like Cafe Hendrix, 11th Avenue, Piazza, Baker’s special, etc.
