GUWAHATI: All Indian Congress Committee (AICC) leader, Gaurav Gogoi has slammed BJP for filing a Suo Moto case against the intellectual and Sahitya Akademi awardee, Dr. Hiren Gohain for raising his voice against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
Gogoi stated that if BJP government stays in power, RSS will ruin the Indian Constitution.
After the Latasil Police station registered a Suo-Moto case against Dr. Hiren Gohain along with activist, Akhil Gogoi and journalist, Manjit Mahanta for voicing their support for independence from India, there has been a major uproar against the opposition, BJP across the state.
He asked everyone to come forth and defy against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016.
