GUWAHATI: Stage is all set for the prestigious Gauhati University Post Graduate Students' Union (PGSU) polls.
The polls are scheduled to be held on 24th September, Monday, and the counting of votes will take place on 25th September. The last date of nomination withdrawal was on 19th September.
Though the university is a stronghold of the All Assam Students’ Union, other major organisations in the fray are: National Students' Union of India (NSUI), Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti (SMSS) and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), who will be fielding candidates for various posts.

It was AASU which won most of the posts in last year's election. According to students, most of the major posts will see a three-cornered fight this year.
