Gauhati High Court makes TET mandatory for Madrassa

GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court on July 22 directed the Assam education department to conduct the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) for appointing teachers to all Madrassas in the state going forward. 

It is to be mentioned that the department of elementary education decided to conduct the Teachers’ Eligibility Test with the objective of recruiting meritorious and qualified teachers following the guidelines and norms of National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE).
