Gauhati High Court asks Ranjan Daimary to Surrender

GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court instructed NDFB leader Ranjan Daimary on Thursday to surrender as his validity of interim bail of four weeks is stated to expire.

It is to be mentioned that the NDFB leader was out from jail on January 24 on interim bail for 4 weeks to participate in the signing of historic Bodo Accord in New Delhi on January 27.

According to reports, Gauhati High Court has not extended the validity of Daimary’s bail saying that he should surrender first before the court and then can appeal a new plea for his bail.

Earlier, a special court pronounced life imprisonment to NDFB (R) chief Ranjan Daimary in connection to the 2008 Assam serial blasts case on January 30, 2019.
