GUWAHATI: Indian Institutes of Technology Guwahati (IITG) graduated Master of Arts (MA) and Master of Science (MSc) students from the 2018-2020 batch’s caution money has been duly refunded by the institute following a report by G Plus.
Earlier, G Plus had published an article on August 18 highlighting the plights of students (batch of 2020) who were demanding the return of the caution money amounting to Rs 9,600 from the time of their graduation in 2020.
Following the report, G Plus was informed by IITG students that the caution money has been refunded on August 26.
“I wish to inform that the caution money deposit for the graduating batch of 2020 has been duly refunded on August 26th, 2021,” an IITG student wrote in a letter to G Plus.
“I acknowledge the cooperation of G Plus in raising our issue vide story viz IIT Guwahati Graduated Masters Students Demand Return of Caution Money. The issue was put with utmost neutrality before the public,” it added.
