GUWAHATI: In a late-night burglary, four shops were robbed at Beltola Tiniali around 1:40 AM on Thursday, February 6. Shopkeepers suspect the involvement of a gang, though CCTV footage captured only one individual.

Talking to GPlus, Pankaj Joshi, one of the affected shopkeepers said, “Including my shop, three others were targeted last night. It might have been a gang, but only one person is visible in the CCTV footage. Three of the shops fall under Hatigaon Police Station’s jurisdiction, while one comes under Basistha Police Station.”
Speaking to GPlus, an official from Hatigaon Police Station said, “We have received information about three shop robberies, but the shopkeepers are yet to file formal complaints.”
Among the affected establishments, Shree Balaji Store reported a loss of ₹30,000-₹40,000, while Health Link Medicos lost ₹40,000 in cash. The other two shops targeted were SD Enterprise and Hari Store.
