Four Assam Athletes Clinch Gold At International Taekwondo Championship In Bhutan

GUWAHATI: Four athletes from Kaliabor, Assam clinched gold medals at the International Taekwondo Championship held in Bhutan. Panchhi Hazarika, Ankita Bora, Lohar Jyoti Goswami, and Krishanku Bora showcased their skills and determination to emerge victorious on the international stage.

The international Taekwondo player and coach Parash Jyoti Das was honoured with the Best Instructor Award 2025 for his outstanding contributions to the sport. 

Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management, Information Technology, and Science, Technology and Climate Change, Keshab Mahanta took to X to put out, “Congratulations to the four outstanding athletes from Kaliabor --Panchhi Hazarika, Ankita Bora, Lohar Jyoti Goswami and Krishanku Bora-- for clinching gold in the International Taekwondo Championship held in Bhutan. You all are an inspiration for the other athletes and sports enthusiasts of #Assam. 

Congratulations to the international Taekwondo player and coach, Parash Jyoti Das, on being honoured with the Best Instructor Award 2025.”

Their achievements have also inspired countless aspiring athletes and sports enthusiasts across Assam.
