Four Arrested In Bihar For NEET Question Paper Leak

 

GUWAHATI: Four individuals have been arrested in Bihar in connection with the leaking of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) question paper, on June 20. The arrested individuals include three aspirants, Anurag Yadav, Nitish Kumar, and Amit Anand, as well as Sikandar Yadavendu, a junior engineer at the Danapur municipal council, as per reports.

The arrests followed confessions in which the suspects admitted to receiving and memorising the leaked question paper, raising serious concerns about the integrity of the NEET-UG 2024 examination process.

Amit Anand, identified as the mastermind, confessed to orchestrating the leak, revealing that candidates were provided with the leaked paper and answers for amounts ranging from ₹30-32 lakh, as per reports. His confession has triggered nationwide outrage and demands for the cancellation of NEET-UG 2024, with protests erupting across the country.

Further incriminating evidence was reportedly found at Amit Anand's residence, including burnt remains of the question paper and answer sheet. He also admitted to having been involved in similar leaks in the past, highlighting widespread corruption within the examination system.
