GUWAHATI: Former Assam Director General of Police (DGP) SV Subramanian passed away on December 23, 2020. He was a 1960 batch IPS officer.
Informing citizens about the sudden demise, Assam Police posted on its official social media handle, "We are saddened by the passing away of our former DGP, Shri S.V. Subramanian, IPS. Shri Subramanian leaves a legacy of selfless service to the people of Assam. His contributions will always be remembered."
Paying respects to the former DGP, Assam Police further stated, "Our heartfelt condolences to his family & friends in this hour of grief."
SV Subramanian served as the DGP of Assam from July 1991 to April 1994.
