GUWAHATI: In an unfortunate incident a fire broke out near Games Village in Guwahati on March 30.
According to locals, the fire broke out opposite the office of Brahmaputra Board, and gutted down around 5 shops.
The shops were mainly medical stores and other grocery shops. However, due to the lock-down no casualties were reports.

Meanwhile, fire tenders reached the spot and were able to douse the fire. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained but locals alleged that it was due to a short circuit.
