GUWAHATI: A fire broke out in an empty coach stationed at the maintenance yard at Guwahati Railway Station today at around 12:30 PM.
Two fire brigade immediately reported to the scene to douse the flame, said an official of the Fire Department.
CPRO of NF Railway while talking to GPlus said, “Fire broke out in an empty luggage-cum-guar van coach stationed in the maintenance yard. The fire was completely brought under control within 30 minutes of the incident.”
The reason of the fire has been reported to be due to maintenance work, as confirmed further by the CPRO.
