GUWAHATI: A fire was reported in the Barsapara area of Guwahati on Sunday 8:30 AM.

As per locals, the fire started at around 8:30 AM in a godown in Rolling Mill Road, Barsapara.
The godown in Bajrang mill compound which was reduced to ashes was owned by Vinayak Furnishings
As per police / unconfirmed sources, furnitures and furnishing worth almost 4-5 Crores was burnt to ground within a matter of hours
The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
Talking to GPlus, an official of Fire Department said, "We have dispatched eight fire brigades who are trying to douse the flame".
