GUWAHATI: In a meeting preceded by State Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya on Friday, it was announced that the Fancy Bazar Old Central Jail premise and Pan Bazar Multi Parking zone shall remain open from Durga Puja till Kali Puja.
The traffic department will allocate new parking spots for the festival days.
The minister also informed that no vehicles shall be allowed to enter the puja pandals. The rule applies for VIPs and VVIPs too.
It was also assured by the minister that no load shedding will be there in any parts of the city during the puja days.
All the puja pandals across the city will have to install CCTV cameras and the walking zones in and around the pandals.
It has also been announced that Guwahati Municipal Corporation will take up the responsibility of dumping garbage from puja pandals, twice every day.
