GUWAHATI: Responding to various reports which quoted a notification from the Office of District Inspector of Schools, Kamrup (Metro) to allot teachers for the smooth conduct of Ambubachi Mela, State Minister for Higher Education, School Education, Tribal Affairs, Government of Assam, Ranoj Pegu stated that no teachers have been roped in for Ambubachi Mela duty and no such order has been passed, as on June 14.
Ranoj Pegu through his Twitter account said, “No teacher has been given Ambuwasi duty. Infact duty detailment is not yet done —@DCKamrupMetro has clarified. Further, no exams are scheduled now in the schools as per academic calendar.”
