GUWAHATI: An emergent meeting was held by the Gauhati High Court Bar Association today, April 22 to condemn all the “rubbish, wild, baseless and motivated allegations of sexual harassment, as published in a section of Press and Electronic Media” against Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi.

The statement mentioned that the allegations are “apparently unbelievable and designed to malign the reputation” of CJI Gogoi and “trends to tarnish the Judicial Independence.”
The committee further expressed their solidarity and said that they stand firmly with the Institution, “in the interest of protecting the dignity of the Office of the Chief Justice of India and upholding the independence of Judiciary.”
