GUWAHATI: The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) in Assam arrested Partha Hazarika, Office Superintendent of the Excise Department, in Janata Bhawan, Guwahati for accepting a bribe of ₹24,500 on October 15.

Hazarika was caught red-handed near the main gate of Janata Bhawan, Dispur, while allegedly taking a bribe from a complainant in exchange for issuing a bar license.
