In an unfortunate incident that occurred on Thursday, a 3 month old baby elephant named Raju died in the Assam State Zoo premises.
The elephant was rescued from Rani few days ago.
Reportedly, the elephant calf got separarated from the herd of elephants, while they came out in search of food, and was later found by forest officials.
