GUWAHATI: The Post Graduate Students’ Union (PGSU), Gauhati University, along with the University Law College Students’ Union burned effigies of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and State BJP president Ranjeet Dass in front of the University gate.
The protest was against the attack on AASU activists by BJP workers at Nalbari on January 27.

The student bodies demanded punishment to the miscreants who pelted stones on AASU activists while they were waving black flags at Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at Ghagrapar in Nalbari district during his visit there.
