A driver was arrested after allegedly threatening his employer, according to an FIR lodged on Monday.

The complaint was filed by the victim, who reported receiving a letter from the accused driver, identified as Hemanta Barman, who had been working with the employer since July 25. The letter, found on Barman's bike on Monday morning, contained a threat to abduct the employer on their way to work. A copy of the letter has been enclosed with the FIR.
The letter also reportedly mentioned a threat made against the driver himself, warning him not to inform his employer about a certain inquiry related to a phone call received on September 2. A screenshot of the call record was included as evidence in the FIR.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from Dispur Police Station said, "The driver was in debt and had been absconding. He, along with his partner, fled to Shillong after also threatening his father. However, on September 15, he was apprehended by police and placed in judicial custody. He has since been released on bail."
Further investigation is underway.
