Drive against formalin-laced fish will continue: Health Minister

GUWAHATI: The state government is keen on continuing the drive against fish laced with formalin.

Warning traders, Pijush Hazarika, Minister of State (MoS) for Health and Family Welfare, Assam on 25th July said, “Anyone found selling fish laced with formalin will be strictly dealt with. Strong measures will be taken to stop the usage of this deadly chemical."

Speaking on who will regulate the market price of fish, the minister said, “The supply department will decide the price of fish. Action will be taken against those who are trying to manipulate fish prices in Assam.”
