The government has proposed construction of at least three bridges over the Brahmaputra.
Consultancy services for preparation of detailed project reports for these bridges have been awarded, said Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Mansukh L Mandaviya.
Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, Nitin Gadkari during his visit to Majuli announced that 5 new bridges will be built over river Brahmaputra.
