GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the Kalapahar Covid Care Hospital in Guwahati on November 4, Wednesday. The state-of-art hospital has a 160-bed capacity.
Sarma said the hospital is equipped with all modern equipment and facilities including ICU with oxygen support, ventilator facility, dialysis unit, laboratory, and x-ray services. The hospital will provide round the clock health services by the specialists.
Considering the demand for COVID treatment, the state health department decided to close the TB Hospital at Kalapahar and convert it into a full-fledged COVID-19 hospital.
