DC office gets its first POS machine

Dr M. Angamuthu, Deputy Commisioner, Kamrup (M) launches a point of sale (POS) machine at Sr. Sub Registrar office inside the DC, office Kamrup (M) premises today. As a part of Digital India to promote cashless payment in govt offices this initiative has been taken by district administration with the help of State Bank of India. This is the first of its kind in any DC office of Assam. On request of the Deputy Commissioner to promote the cashless payment at govt. establishment SBI installed the POS machine free of cost. In this occasion DC said — it will help the stake holders in cashless payment, 'stepwise it will make fully cashless' he added. It is worth mentioning that with the help of this POS machine one can make payment as fees by using credit and debit card of any bank. Mr. Harihar Patnayak, AGM, Guwahati Region, SBI, Karnali Sarma, District Development Commissioner, Kamrup (M), S. Dhar, LDM, Robin Bora, Marketing Executive, Ramen Kr.
