Guwahati: Policing is changing all over the world and in the state of Assam it is changing very fast. The recent addition to Assam Police is the Cyberdome and the Digital Intelligence Training and Analysis Centre (DITAC).

Located in Kahilipara the centres are aimed at making policing even better. The Assam Police is now all geared-up for the next- generation cyber intelligence gathering.

Equipped with one of the most-advanced cyber labs in the country, the Cyberdome has started functioning. Its main focus will be to work towards increasing capacities and bringing in the state-of- the-art technology for cyber intelligence, cyber investigation and cyber forensics, said a senior official in the Assam Police speaking to G Plus.

The Cyberdome facility is very citizen-centric and will provide the public more in terms of investigation.

“The Cyberdome is not just limited to investigative purposes but will also ensure that the public gets much better investigative facilities and services. Also, a major part of the Cyberdome is the social media initiative of the Assam Police to provide citizen-centric services and to provide an interface with the public,” added the official.
