GUWAHATI: Assam recorded 2534 fresh COVID-19 cases on Friday, September 11. The cases were detected from all across the state, out of 36,413 COVID tests conducted. This was informed by the Health Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 2534 #COVID cases detected today out of 36413 tests done in last 24 hours".
With this, the total number of COVID cases in Assam has gone up to 1,38,339.
Further, with 2,628 patients discharged from various hospitals within the last 24 hours, active cases in Assam stands at 29,577 while 1,08,329 persons have been cured of the virus.
The COVID-19 death toll in Assam stands at 430.
