GUWAHATI: Assam recorded 2,243 fresh COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, September 9. The cases were detected from all across the state, out of 31,562 COVID tests conducted.
This was informed by Health Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 2243 #COVID cases detected today out of 38611 tests done in last 24 hours.”
With this, the total number of COVID cases in Assam has gone up to 1,33,066.
Further, with 2,265 patients discharged from various hospitals within the last 24 hours, active cases in Assam stands at 29,163 while 1,03,504 persons have been cured from the virus.
The COVID-19 death toll in Assam stands at 396.
