GUWAHATI: Assam recorded 1,292 fresh COVID-19 cases on Sunday, September 13. The cases were detected from all across the state, out of 15,515 COVID tests conducted. This was informed by the Health Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Sarma wrote, "Alert ~ 1292 COVID cases detected today out of 15515 tests done in last 24 hours."
With this, the total number of COVID cases in Assam has gone up to 141763.

Further, with 2,251 patients discharged from various hospitals within the last 24 hours, active cases in Assam stands at 28,158 while 1,13,133 persons have been cured of the virus.
The COVID-19 death toll in Assam stands at 469.
