COVID-19 Tally in Assam Crosses 3,000 Mark

GUWAHATI: Assam recorded 215 cases in the last 24 hours as per a series of tweets by the health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on June 9. 

With this rise in numbers, the state currently has 3,050 coronavirus positive cases of which 1,945 are active.

Across the state, 1,097 patients have recovered from the disease so far of which 301 patients were discharged on June 9, which was the highest recovery recorded in the state in a day.

Among all districts affected in the state, Kamrup Metro happens to be the worst affected with 552 cases of which 216 are active, as per latest data released by Government of Assam on its official COVID-19 advisory website.
